Purba Bardhaman IJA unit gets new leaders
BARDHAMAN: Sri Shyama Prasad Chaudhury and Sri Santosh Das have been elected as the President and General Secretary respectively of the Purba Bardhaman Unit of IJA on Sunday.
State President Debasish Das, General Secretary Krishna Das Parth, former office-bearer Sekhar Sengupta and outgoing IJU Secretary General, S. Sabanayakan, were present and approved the decision taken at the Annual General Meeting at the Lion’s Club premises.
The outgoing President, Swapan Mukherjee and General Secretary Arup Laha stepped down after a long stint.
Many members expressed their point of view on the working of the unit. The new Executive Council of the district unit would take up those points in the course of the year.
